Launch: The Complete Quirks of Margaret Goff

Margaret Goff will tickle your funny bone and touch your heart.
Effervescent Lancashire lass turned Australian, Margaret Goff, will give a performance of some of the quirky works from her new book The Complete Quirks of Margaret Goff, at her Castlemaine launch this Sunday afternoon.

Margaret’s poems and songs have been received with enthusiastic applause in concert, at festivals, in theatres, clubs, pubs and on radio. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.

As a teacher of creative writing for over twenty years, Margaret has nurtured and encouraged a wealth of talent in her students of all ages in Western Australia and Victoria, and she also ran classes for several years at Castlemaine Continuing Adult Education.

Before Margaret’s performance and launch, there will be a discussion about creating books. One of Margaret’s Castlemaine students, Sue Turner, has recently had her first book published. She and her co-author and publisher Dr Sally Berridge will discuss the challenging process of making a story into a book: working with a mentor, editing, designing and publishing the final manuscript.
Sue and Sally’s book The Munro Court Story: An Australian housing development of energy–smart houses in water-wise gardens will also be available for sale.

Wines, tea, coffee and light snacks will be available for purchase before and after the event.
